We believe the best refund policy is one you never need to use. But when you do — it should be clear, fair, and decided by us — not by the expert you're disputing.

Lumire decides — not the expert

All refund decisions are made by Lumire Consulting. The expert you're disputing has no say in whether you receive a refund.

Expert no-show = automatic full refund

If your expert doesn't attend a paid session, your refund is processed within 3 business days. No request needed.

Section 01

The Free Discovery Session

The first 45-minute session with every Lumire expert is completely free. No payment is taken before, during, or after the session. No refund is needed or possible.

If you are unsatisfied with the discovery session for any reason — the expert, the direction of the conversation, or simply a change of mind — you are under no obligation to proceed. The session ends and no charge applies.

Zero risk on Session 1

You meet your expert, experience the quality, and decide. Payment begins only when you choose to continue.

Section 02

Cancellations By You

If you need to cancel a scheduled paid session, the following applies:

When you cancel What happens
More than 24 hours before the scheduled session Full refund of that session's value. Processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method.
Less than 24 hours before the scheduled session No refund. The session is forfeited. You may request a one-time reschedule at Lumire's discretion.
After a session has been completed No refund. Delivered sessions are non-refundable regardless of satisfaction with the advice received.
No-show by client without prior notice No refund. Session is forfeited. Contact us within 24 hours if there were extenuating circumstances.
Section 03

Expert No-Shows — The Lumire Guarantee

Lumire guarantees expert attendance at every scheduled paid session. If your expert does not attend:

Automatic full refund — no request needed

A full refund of that session's value is issued automatically within 3 business days. You do not need to contact us. You do not need the expert's approval. You do not need to fill in a form. The expert's reason for absence does not affect your entitlement.

Alternatively, if you prefer not to receive a refund, you may choose to:

  • Reschedule the session with the same expert at no cost
  • Request a rematch with a different expert and a complimentary replacement session

Contact us at consult@lumireconsulting.com within 48 hours of the missed session to select your preferred option.

Section 04

Expert Mismatch — The Rematch Guarantee

If after your first paid session you genuinely feel the expert was not the right match for your specific situation — wrong industry background, insufficient preparation, or a fundamental mismatch in expertise — you are protected.

How to claim

Email consult@lumireconsulting.com within 48 hours of the session. Include your name, session date, expert name, and a brief description of why the match was not right. Lumire will assess the situation in good faith and respond within 24 hours.

If the mismatch is confirmed by Lumire, you will receive either:

  • A full session credit — the session value is credited to your account for use on a future session
  • A rematch with a different expert and one complimentary replacement session at no charge

The rematch guarantee applies to one session per plan. It covers genuine mismatch situations. It does not apply to dissatisfaction with an expert's honest assessment, their recommendation, or advice that the client disagreed with.

Section 05

Multi-Session Plans — Unused Sessions

If you have purchased a Career Sprint, Strategic Growth, or Transformation plan and wish to discontinue before completing all sessions, the following refund table applies:

Sessions completed Refund entitlement
0 sessions used Full refund of plan value. No deductions.
1 session used Refund of remaining unused sessions at the per-session rate of the plan purchased.
2 or more sessions used Refund of remaining unused sessions at the per-session rate only — and only if requested within 30 days of the last completed session.
Plan expired (90+ days since purchase) No refund. All sessions are forfeited after 90 days of inactivity.

Per-session refund rates

Career Sprint (2 sessions) — ₹1,499 / $44.50 per session
Strategic Growth (4 sessions) — ₹1,749 / $54.75 per session
Transformation (8 sessions) — ₹1,749 / $62.37 per session
Milestone Advisory — Refund terms agreed individually at the time of purchase.

Section 06

Technical Failures

If a session is interrupted or cannot be completed due to a technical failure on Lumire's infrastructure or the expert's end, you will not be charged for an incomplete session.

  • The session will be rescheduled at no cost, or
  • A full session credit will be issued to your account

Technical failures on the client's end — internet connectivity, device failure, power outage — are not covered under this clause. If you lose connectivity during a session, contact us within 24 hours at consult@lumireconsulting.com and Lumire will assess the situation in good faith.

Section 07

What Is Not Refundable

The following are explicitly non-refundable under any circumstances:

Lumire provides strategic career guidance based on expert experience and the information provided by the client. We do not guarantee specific career outcomes — job offers, promotions, salary increases, or admission to institutions. Dissatisfaction with career outcomes following a completed session is not grounds for a refund.

Section 08

How to Request a Refund

Email consult@lumireconsulting.com with the following information:

Your full name and registered email To locate your booking and payment record
The session date and expert name To identify the specific session in question
The reason for your refund request To assess your situation accurately and fairly
Any supporting context (optional) Screenshots, notes, or anything relevant to your situation

Our commitment to you

Lumire will acknowledge your request within 24 hours and resolve it within 5 business days. All refund decisions are made by Lumire Consulting — not by the expert. You will never be asked to get your expert's approval for a refund decision that is Lumire's to make.

Section 09

Refund Processing Times

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within the following timelines:

Credit / Debit Card 5–10 business days (depending on your bank's processing cycle)
UPI / Net Banking 3–5 business days
International card payments 7–14 business days (depending on issuing bank and country)
Wallet / Prepaid instruments 3–7 business days

Lumire does not charge any processing fee on approved refunds. The full approved amount is returned. If your refund has not appeared after the stated timeframe, contact your bank first — then reach out to us at consult@lumireconsulting.com.

Section 10

Governing Law

This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to this policy are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India.

Lumire Consulting reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Any material changes will be communicated via email to registered clients and posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of Lumire's services following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
